WILLIE MIZELL

Willie Maude Lowther Mizell, 94, passed away August 26, 2014 in the Blair House in Macon Georgia.  She was born in Charlton County to the late Berry Hansford Lowther and Lizzie Strickland Lowther.  She graduated from Charlton County High School and grew up in the Trader’s Hill area.  After marriage, she moved to Waycross and raised her family there.  She moved to Macon 4 years ago to the Blair House Sr. Living community to be near her kids.  She was a member of Hebardville Baptist Church in Waycross, GA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years:  Jesse Pleasant Mizell; 2-sisters:  Margie Joiner and Anne Gibson.
She is survived by her children:  Wayne (Donna) Mizell and Ardith (Donnie) Taylor; 4-Grandchildren:  Marla Beck Williamson, Mike (Dana) Mizell, Zack (Amy) Taylor, Stacia Taylor; 4-Great Grandchildren:  Jarrett Mizell, Jake Mizell, Nickolas Mizell and Anna Lee Taylor; 1-Sister:   Louise Darrow; 1-Special Nephew:  Hansford Joiner; 8-Special Nieces:  Vicki Bowers, Barbara Green, Sandra (Jerry) Strickland, Kelly Darrow, Marie Evans, Edna (Ted) Millar, Anne (Roy) Millar Dixie (Jim) McGurn.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, August 29 at 11:00 AM in Pineview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
