Wilbur Vroman

Wilbur Darrell Vroman, 84, of Hilliard, FL passed away at his residence March 5, 2019.  He was born September 10, 1934 in Ogden, KS.  He proudly served in the United States Army for 20 years where he served 2 tours in Vietnam and in the Korean Conflict.  He worked as a land surveyor following his military service.  He was a member of Height Church in Beech Island, SC.  He was a life long resident of Gloverville, SC until moving to Hilliard about a month ago.

He is survived by his children:  Rebecca White (Jim), Donna Stringer (Hank), Pam Koon (Huey), Teresa Testa, Darrell Vroman (Lisa) and Darren Vroman (Jennifer); 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12 in the chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Rev. Darrell Vroman officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 PM with full military honors.  Pallbearers will be Bruce White, Robert White, Daniel Vroman, Zachary Vroman, Butch Cusack, Nathanael Vroman.
