Wayne Thornton, Jr.

Wayne Carol Thornton Jr., 50, of Hilliard, FL passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 in Hilliard, FL.  He was born July 22, 1969 to Wayne and Marie Thornton Sr. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving with the 82nd Airborne Division. He was the owner of Thornton Framing Company and a member of First Baptist Church Boulougne.  However, Wayne will best be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years:  Pamela Thornton; children:  Harley (Elizabeth) Thornton, Hailey Thornton and Wyatt Thornton; parents: Wayne and Marie Thornton Sr.; brothers and sisters:  Trish (Tom) Thornton, Sandi (Lee) Hofstead, Mickey (Nikki) Thornton, Noah (Kerry) Thornton; Cousin: Cliff (Kristi) Foreman; mother-in-love: Ellen Belton; friend: Danny (Nancy) Horton; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 30 at First Baptist Church of Boulougne in Boulougne, FL. from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 31 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Boulougne in Boulougne, FL. with Rev. Paul Lucas and Rev. Greg Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
