Walter Albert Morgan

Walter Albert Morgan, 80, of Woodbine, GA passed away at his home on Thursday, November 9, 2023 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 5, 1943 to the late Pasco Wesley Morgan and Ruth Randolph Harris Morgan. Walter retired from the City of St. Marys in 2016 after 30 years of employment. He attended White Oak Pentecostal Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter; Sue Morgan Croft, grandson; Walter Knowles, 4-brothers; Russell Morgan, Wesley Morgan, Bobby Morgan and William Morgan, and a sister; Sarah Morgan.

He is survived by his loving wife; Glenda Morgan, 7-children; Ray Morgan, Joe (Teena) Morgan, Sonja Knowles, Tina (George) Beecher, Gene (Jen) Morgan, Melissa Mounsey, and Johnny (Karen) Stephens, 2-sisters; Willa Ruth (Jerry) Garland, and Joesphine Robbins, 12-grandchildren, 20-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Drury officiating. Pallbearers will be Byron Knowles, Windel Nichols, Robert McCoy, Wesley McCoy, James Ray Morgan, Philip Croft, Kyle Beecher, and Cash Tait.
