Walter B. Crews, Sr., 78, of Folkston, passed away September 22 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick following a lengthy illness. He was born on Cowhouse Island in Ware County Georgia to the late Andrew Bryant Crews and Catherine Simmons Crews Lloyd. He was a proud veteran of the Unites States Army. He was preceded in death by his brother: Ronald Jackson Lloyd and Father-In-Law: Walter Raleigh Crews.

He is a survived by his wife: Martha Crews; 6-Sons: Mike (Brenda) Crews, Edwin (Cheryl) Crews, Ronald (Patricia) Crews, Walter (Nancy) Crews, Jr., Randy (Carl) Crews, and Eric Merlin (Alice) Crews; 2-Daughters: Belinda (Delbert) Shelton, and Carolyn (Bob) Mizell; 7-Sisters: Kitty (L.W.) Lloyd, Ethel Nettles, Sue Geiger, Connie Nettles, Barbara Dell (Clyde) Nettles, Betty Renshaw, and Diane Arrow; his Mother-In-Law: Winnell Crews; 3-Brothers-In-Law: John (Yvonne) Crews, Bobby (Jackie) Crews, and Bo (Susie) Crews; 20 Grandchildren and 36 Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday September 24 at the Homeland Church of God of Prophecy from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25 at 11:00 AM at the Homeland Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Ricky Knox officiating. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery with Military Honors.
