Mrs. Vernika Mosley Moreno of Orlando, Florida departed this life on Friday, May 5, 2023. She was born in Gainesville, Florida but grew up in Hilliard, Florida where she received her formal education from the Nassau County Public School System.
A Time to Live
Vernika lived her life bringing smiles to the faces of her family and friends. She cherished her family and never missed an opportunity to express her love and loyalty. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend. She was an unwavering, devoted mother to her daughter and bonus children who were her light. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known her friendship and unconditional love.
A Time to Mourn
Vernika received her wings on Friday, May 5, 2023. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jakarra K. Baker; maternal grandparents, Joe C. Mosley and Reathe M. Mosley (Jerry); paternal grandparents, Betty Lee Merricks and Haywood Merricks. She is survived by her husband, David Moreno; mother, MaryJane Mosley; father, Vandell Dasher; daughter, Kierra Baker; bonus children, David Joshua Moreno, Michael Josue Perez, and Ashley Pelaez; siblings, Vandell Dasher, Jr. (Chasity), Cornelius V. Dasher (Haley), and Michael C. Dasher (Michelove); special aunties, Brenda Merricks and Julia B. Walker; special friend, Becky; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dedicated friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia.
