Verle Lloyd

Verle Edward “Edd” Lloyd, 79, of Folkston, passed away Tuesday June 2 in Jacksonville, FL following a lengthy illness.  He was born in Folkston, GA to the late Robert Mack Lloyd and Sadie Lee Walker Lloyd on June 11, 1935.  He retired from the City of Jacksonville and the State of Georgia as a Plant Manager in the Water Management System.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife:  Joan Elizabeth Lloyd; a son:  Robert Edward Lloyd; a brother:  Curtis Earl Lloyd and a sister:  Virginia Pearl Lloyd.
He is survived by his 4-Children:  Bonnie Lloyd, Brenda (Scott) Lambert, Melinda (Brian) Knowles and Michael Lloyd; 8-Grandchildren:  Brittany Lambert, Bethany Lambert, Austin Knowles, Trevor Knowles, Bradan Knowles, Briana Knowles, Morgan Lloyd & Riley Lloyd; a brother:  Robert Floyd Lloyd; and a sister:  Linda Sue Lloyd.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 5 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 AM at Victory Baptist Church with Bro. Tim King and Bro. Eddie Story officiating.  Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery with Military Honors.
