Thomas Sikes

Thomas Hartman Sikes, 71, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, formerly of Folkston, Georgia, died October 13 at Florida Hospital.
Tom worked for many years in the food service industry. His most recent employment was with US Food Service in Lakeland, Florida. However, he worked with several companies, making relationships in Tampa, south Florida, and cities in the greater southern United States. His knowledge of this industry was an invaluable contribution to all those with whom he worked over the years.
Survivors include his wife, Paulette, daughters Rebecca (Jeremy), Lou Ann (Chris), Catherine (Stuart), and son Thomas; two grandchildren, Shelby and Cameron; brothers Van (Virginia) and Donald (Shirley), sisters Avis and Madeline; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eustace and Evie Sikes and two sisters.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Shephard Funeral Home in Folkston. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 16 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. A service in memory of his life will be held at Shephard Funeral Home on Wednesday October 17 at 11 AM, with Rev. Gene McCullough officiating. Internment to be held immediately following the service at Sardis Cemetery.
