Teresa Evans

Teresa Martin Evans, 47 of Hilliard, Florida passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at Northeast Florida Community Hospice after a long battle with breast cancer on June 22nd. She was born in Yazoo City, MS and raised in Tchula, MS. For the past ten years, Terri has lived in Hilliard, Florida and has been an active member of her community. Starting off her public service with the Nassau County Sheriff's Office as a 911 dispatcher, Terri worked her way up to corrections officer and later became a bailiff.

Terri was preceded in death by her father; Harold Martin, in 1985. She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Evans; her three children, Dain Land, Mandie Land, and Lindsey McDaniel, and step daughter Sandra Evans; her mother Ivone Martin; three sisters, Jan(Butch) Hammack, Tracy(Jerry) Seale, and Robin(Blain) Sanderson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Terri's wish was that in death, as in life, all things worked to the glory of God.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25th at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 5-9 PM. Funeral services w ill be held at First Baptist Church of Hilliard on Thursday, June 26th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tony Barber, Mark Davis and Larry Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery. For those friends and family unable to attend services in Florida, a Memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church Tchula, MS at 2PM on Saturday, June 28th.
The family would like to thank all those friends, family and strangers for their prayers and thoughts during this difficult time and reassure them all that one day we will see her again.
