Sylvia Carter Cannon

Sylvia Carter Cannon, 85, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022.  She was born June 15, 1936 in Appling County, GA to the late Wiley C. Carter and Winona Minnesota Miles Carter.  She was a faithful member of Lane Avenue Church of God before moving to Hilliard, FL. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter:  Sylvia Ladonna Johns and her sisters:  Colleen Conrad and Noreen Brunt.

She is survived by her children:  Colin Terry Dowdy, Connie Roy White, Jr, Winona Gai (Timothy) Thigpen and Dadrian Pendragon (Kelly) White; a brother:  Lawton Carter; 17-grandchildren and 18-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 12 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13 at 11:00 AM at the Hilliard Assembly of God with Pastor Arlie Johns and Pastor Steve Dubose officiating.  Burial will follow in Pigeon Creek Cemetery.
