Stephen Wayne Thrift

Stephen Wayne Thrift, 53, of Hilliard, FL, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. He was born in Honolulu, HI, on February 22, 1971, to the late Robert Louis Thrift, Sr. and Iris Prescott Thrift. Stephen loved going to church, playing basketball, and working at the Nassau ARC. He loved the Florida Gators. Stephen was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church for almost 50 years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother: Robert Louis Thrift, Jr.

He is survived by his sister: Brenda Thrift Oakie; his brother: Ronald Ira Thrift (Sheri); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Buford Grove Baptist Church. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Pruitte officiating. Burial will follow at Buford Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Thrift, Nick Thrift, Bobby Oakie, Joey Lee, Tim Thrift, and Robert Thrift, Jr.
