Shirley Hicks

hirley Margaret (Crews) Hicks, 71, of Bryceville, passed away August 26 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Charlton County and had lived in Bryceville for a number of years. She was the daughter of the late Dave and Emmie Crews. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by 2-Sisters: Eula Conner and Mary Pellum; and 3-Brothers: Bill Crews, John Wesley Crews, and Alfred Crews.

She is survived by her husband: Lewis Eddie Hicks of Bryceville, FL; 3-Daughters: Audrey (Pete) Lauramore of MacClenney, FL, Latrelle (Mose) Jewell of Sanderson, FL, Denise (Buddy) Hill of Bryceville, FL; a son: Wade Hicks of Bryceville, FL; 2-Brothers: David and Tommy Crews; 3-Sisters: Bernice Sikes, Louise Dority, and Jeanette Combs; 8-Grandchildren and 20-Great Grandchildren and 2-Great Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday August 28 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday August 29 at 11:00 AM at the St. George Church of God with Rev. Grady Albritton and Rev. James Conner officiating. Burial will be in Boones Creek Cemetery.
