Sharon Popham

Sharon Marie Herrin Popham, 69, of Folkston, GA passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at her home.  She was born December 20, 1952 in Folkston, Georgia to the late Carl L. Herrin and Catherine Griffin Herrin.  She has worked for the Charlton County Tax Office for 44 years. She was the Director of the Popham Hill Country Club since 1989. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Lang Field Hunting Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Larry Stevens Herrin and Carl L. Herrin, and her sisters: Patricia Yvonne Herrin and Vivian Camillia Herrin.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years: Donahue Popham; her children: Devon Popham, Donnie (Rhonda) Popham, and Doug Popham; her grandchildren:  Lisa (Jason) Goodwin, Jacob Popham, Gannon Popham, Carly Popham, Audrey Popham, Lance Popham, Brayden Birke, and Logan Gaskins; her great grandchildren:  Colt Goodwin and Harper Goodwin; sister:  Kathie (Robert) Cowart and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from 1-3 PM.  Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Lee, Rev. Tim Hall and Sharon Harkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery.
