Sarah Brown

Sarah Elizabeth Stuart Brown, 86, of Blackshear, GA passed away at the Harborview Health System in Blackshear, GA Thursday, August 5, 2021.  She was born November 5, 1934 in Purvis, Mississippi to the late James Arthur Stuart and Edna Caroline Hartfield Stuart.  She was a member of Destination Church in Blackshear, GA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Amos Merrill Brown; a son:  Fredrick Houston “Ricky” Brown and her siblings:  Thomas, William, Loretta, James, Joseph, Jesse, Henry, and 2 infant siblings.

She is survived by her children:  Joseph M. “Jerry” Brown and his wife, Janet and Nola Rebecca Brown Salko and her husband, Peter; 2-sisters:  Martha Ann Shows and Joyce Yawn; 2-brothers:  Charles Stuart and Arthur Stuart; 8-grandchildren; 22-great grandchildren and 1-great great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Mitcham officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.

Due to Covid-19, the family would like to ask all attendees to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service.  Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
