Ruth Scarbrough

RuthWoolard Scarbrough, 82, of Callahan, FL passed away January 5 in Fernandina Beach, FL surrounded by her loving family.  She was born July 26, 1933 in Folkston, GA to the late Raiford Sheppard Woolard and Lula  Swearinger Woolard.  She was a homemaker and charter member of River Road Baptist Church since 1973.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Scarbrough, Sr. of 48 years, 3-sisters, and a great granddaughter:  Ashley Lauren Quarles.
She is survived by her children:  Charles  (Beth) Scarbrough, Jr, Ray (Beverly)Scarbrough, Sr., Tommy Scarbrough, Debra (Marcus) Rau & Zondra Pringle ; a sister:  Alice Peacock; 14 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 7 at River Road Baptist Church from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8 at 11:00 AM at River Road Baptist Church with Rev. Hal McIntosh, Rev. James Conner and Rev. Benji Loyd.  Burial will follow in Camp Pinckney Cemetery in Folkston, GA.  Pallbearers will be her grandsons:  Ray Scarbrough, Jr., Marcus Rau, Jr., TJ Scarbrough, Buddy Scarbrough, Chase Scarbrough, James Scarbrough.
