Ruth Carter

Ruth Tucker Carter, 80 of Folkston passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at her residence. She was born April 3, 1932 in Racepond, Georgia to Theodore and Macie Crews Tucker. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and always enjoyed helping others.
She is survived by her children: Fred (Andrea) Carter of Rincon, Georgia; Betty Carter Johnson (Shelton) of Albany, Georgia; Steve Carter (Shannon) of Folkston; 8 Grandchildren: Ryan Carter, Chris Carter, Nikki Carter, Jake Carter, Jeff (Heather) Johnson, Karen (Brett) Grove, Brandon Carter and Derek Carter; and 8 Great-grandchildren; one sister: Marlene Crum of Kodak, TN. and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Cecil Carter.
Pallbearers: Ricky Carter, Larry Carter, Dennis Crews, Danny Crews, Herman Carter and Allen Nelson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6 until 8 PM at Shepard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Camp Pinckney Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Lloyd and Rev. Ion Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
