Russell Andrew Spradley, 66, of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. He was born in Folkston, Georgia on April 17, 1957, his mother’s birthday, to the late Joel Fairlee Spradley and Vernell Burch Spradley. Russell attended Camden County High School. Growing up, he played Little League baseball in Camden County. In his younger years, his nickname was “Hogman.” Russell was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to drum fish. His last fishing trip was with his nephew, John. They went off-shore fishing and Russell caught a large red snapper among other fish.  He loved nature. His relaxation was riding around looking at all of God’s handiwork. He loved feeding squirrels and birds at home. He was a wonderful singer. Russell had such a great personality. He loved to joke and pick on others. He could make anyone laugh and could lighten any situation. He was also a very good storyteller.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2-sisters; Juanell Andrix and JoAnne Nolder, a brother; Joel “Sammy” Spradley, and a nephew; Joe Spradley.

He is survived by his loving wife; Juanita Wilder Spradley, 2-sons; Russell Andrew Spradley, Jr. and Ashton Blake Banister, 4-siblings; Shirley (David) Hudson, Peggy (Grant) Everage, John Keith “Buddy” (Judy) Spradley, and Tammy (Brooke) Rowe, and numerous nieces and nephews that loved and adored him.

A service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Homeland Pentecostal Church with Evangelist Linda Baughman and Rev. Donavan Cox officiating. Pallbearers will be Schrade McDonald, Eustace Griffin, Donavan Cox, Pete Spradley, Jon Conley, and Kash Rowe. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph Bunk, Grant Everage, Brooke Rowe, and John Spradley.
