Rudolph Raulerson

November 16, 1927 — November 27, 2007

Rubie "Rudolph" Raulerson, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 27. He was born on November 16,1927 to the late Charles and Genevieve Raulerson and lived in St. George his entire life. He retired in 1990 after 30 years of civil service as Postmaster of St. George. He also ran a sawmill and egg business at one time. He was a Deacon and member of First Baptist Church of St. George and the Masonic Lodge of Folkston. He played a big role in establishing the St. George Community Center and was once involved with the Explorers of America and various community activities. He enjoyed deer and duck hunting, fishing, driving Betsy—his old blue tractor, shopping at Walmart and playing with his great-grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Inez T. Raulerson, daughter Marilyn R. Hodges, St. George, two granddaughters Shelby Hodges (Jesse) Green, Callahan, Dana (Danny) Willinger, St. George, and three great-granddaughters Maria Shane Hodges, Chloe Janeen Willinger and KaCee Dayne Willinger, one brother J.C. Raulerson, St. George, and two sisters Juanita Baumwald, Macclenny, and Libby (Raymond) Whittle, Macclenny, and countless cousins, nieces and nephews. "Pepa" will be missed by everyone who knew him.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 29, 2007 from 6 until 8 PM at Shepard Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be Friday, November 30, 2007 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of St. George with Rev. Doug Harris and Rev. James Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Boones Creek Cemetery.
