Ruby Nelson

Ruby Joyce Bryant Nelson, 75 of Fernandina Beach passed away June 14, 2014 at Community Hospice of N.E. Florida, St. Vincent’s, Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Baxley, Georgia on December 14, 1938 to Lemuel Bartow and Ona Deen Hunter Bryant.  She was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by a son: Richard A. “Randy” Nelson, Jr. (Julie) of Fernandina Beach; a grandson: Joshua Randall Nelson of Fernandina Beach; two sisters: Annette Bryant Jones(Denny) of Savannah, Ga.; Martha Ann Bryant Sresovich(Luke) of Fernandina Beach; five brothers: Peter McNeil(Yvonne) of Yulee, Fl.; Hunter(Brenda) Bryant of Yulee; Lemuel Bryant of Alabama; Earl Dean Bryant of North Georgia; Danny Carl Bryant (Terry) of Yulee; Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Arthur Nelson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be Friday, June 20, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Little Phoebe Cemetery.
