Roy Lewis Stokes

Roy Lewis Stokes, 79, of Hilliard, FL passed away at his home, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 following a lengthy illness.  He was born November 11, 1942 to the late Herbert A. Stokes, Sr. and Irene Mary Sikes Stokes.  He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard after he graduated from high school.  He was the owner of Stokes Sanitation in Hilliard, FL for over 50 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister:  Rhoda Stokes Jackson.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years:  Loretta Henderson Stokes; his sons and daughters-in-law:  Clint & Mechele Stokes and Raymie & Leslie Stokes; a brother:  A.J. Stokes; grandchildren:  Cody (Lisa) Stokes, Shelby (Reed) Lloyd, Chelsea (Chris) King, Tye (Emily) Stokes, and Justin (Kim) Carroll; 9-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 4-6 PM at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home.  Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, October 17 at 2:00 PM in Mill Creek Cemetery.
