Robert Pike, Sr

Robert Lee Pike, Sr. 76 of Hilliard passed away November 6, 2011 at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross, Georgia. He was born April 2, 1935 in Arcadia, Florida to Bogus and Vera Thelma Bond Pike. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Robert was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed outdoor sports and was a big Gator Fan. He was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church of Hilliard.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years: Sherral(Prissy) Purvis Pike of Hilliard; One son: Robert Lee Pike, Jr. (Darlene) of Hilliard; One daughter: Anna V. Jordan of Waynesville, Georgia; Four grandsons: Robert Lee Pike, III of Hilliard; Brian Hunter Pike of Hilliard; B.P. Pike of Hilliard; Allen Lee Jordan of Waynesville, Georgia; Twin sisters: Anna Pike of Haines City, Florida; Alva (Bob) Tatum of Lake Wales, Florida; Several nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of Friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Buford Grove Baptist Church from 12:00 until 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Buford Grove Baptist Church Mission Fund. Funeral services will begin at the church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Curtis Harrington officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.
