Robert E. Huling,66, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Thursday March 19, 2009. He was born November 4, 1942 in Folkston, GA to James H. and Winnie L. (China) Huling. He graduated from Paxton High School in Jacksonville, FL, served in the Florida National Guard, and was employed by the Florida Department of Transportation from 1967 until his retirement in 2001. Robert was a Civil War History enthusiast. He attended the reenactment of the Battle of Olustee every year and also volunteered at the Museum of Southern History in his retirement. He enjoyed visits to Michigan to see his relatives and friends. Robert is survived by his sister Susie (Lyle) Mudgett of Ravenna, MI; two nieces, Sharon Mudgett and Joni (Jim) Wagner; two nephews, Donald Mudgett and Scott Mudgett; two great nieces, Rachel and Hannah Mudgett; one great nephew, Matthew Mudgett and a special friend of 40 years Cecil McClellan. He was predeceased by his parents; brother James H. Huling Jr. and Niece Trish Mudgett. A grave side service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Pineview Cemetery in Folkston, GA.
