ROBERT HOLLAND, SR

Robert H. Holland, Sr., (Pappy/Candyman) 91, of Hilliard, Florida passed away June 20, 2012. He was born in Hancock, County, Kentucky to the late James Dudley Holland and Katie Hicks Holland. He served proudly in the US Coast Guard during WW II. He is preceded in death by his wife: Della Catherine Millay Holland, a son: Robert H. “Gunner” Holland Jr., and great Granddaughter, Macie Lynne Skelton.
He is survived by his daughters: Ann (David) Buchanan, Peggy (Cris) McConnell and Sarah (James) Mosley; 12-Grandchildren, 19-Great Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday June 22 at Shepard Funeral Home, Folkston, GA., from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23 at 10:00 AM in the Shepard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard, Florida.
