Robert Holland, Jr

Robert Henry “Gunner” Holland, Jr., 64, of Callahan, passed away Thursday, August 5 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville following a sudden illness. He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was employed with the Nassau County School System. He was preceded in death by his mother: Della Catherine Millay Holland.

He is survived by his wife: Janet Herlong Holland of Callahan, FL; 3-Children: Stephen (Kim) Holland of Atlanta, GA, Julie Holland of Jacksonville, FL and Scott Holland of Fernandina Beach, FL; his Father: Robert H. “Pappy” Holland, Sr., of Hilliard, FL; 3-Sisters: Ann Buchanan, Peggy McConnell and Sarah Mosely all of Hilliard, FL; 2-Grandchildren: Kobe and Jordan Holland; and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 8 at Shepard Funeral Home, 526 Oakwood Street, Folkston, Georgia, 31537 from 1-3 PM. Funeral services will be held Sunday August 8 at 3:00 PM at the Shepard Funeral Home chapel with Rev. James Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard, FL.
