Reginald Herrin

Reginald Dempsey Herrin, 78 of Folkston passed away August 14, 2013 in Hospice of the Golden isles, Brunswick, Georgia.  He was born to Leone Kaney and Owen Kay Herrin, Sr. in Hickox Georgia.  Rev. Reggie pastored many churches in the area and was loved by all. He loved singing hymns and playing the guitar and mandolin, which he did for many services. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his first wife: Delane Herrin; one daughter: Deborah Lynne Herrin and one son: Keith Herrin; two sisters: Marjorie R. Herrin and Jackie Behrens and one brother: Owen Kay Herrin, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Carroll Herrin of Folkston; one sister: Isla F. Roberson of Atkinson, Georgia; several Nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 16, 2013 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 10:00 AM at  Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainwright and Rev. E.C. Crews officiating. Burial will follow in Dowling Cemetery.
