Ralph Duggan, Sr

Mr. Ralph Duggan, Sr. (Poppy), 93,
went home to be with his Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday,
February 05, 2011 at the Acosta-Rua
Center/Northeast Florida Community
Hospice; he was surrounded by his
loving family.
Ralph was a charter member of the
First Baptist Church West Jacksonville.
He was a former Pastor and years later served
as a Deacon at the Camp Pinckney Baptist
Church in Folkston, Georgia.
He was a member of our Nations Greatest
Generation, serving proudly as a Staff
Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WW II,
with 14 months in the South Pacific.
Professionally he was an automotive
and diesel heavy equipment mechanic
for General Motors and the J.V. Gowen
Company.
Ralph is survived by Walter Duggan
(Willene), Cornelia G. Huggins (Vernon),
and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday,
February 7th from 10 AM to 11AM, with
the service beginning at 11 AM with Dr.
Gene Hodges officiating.
Funeral services will be provided by
Shepard Funeral Home, 526 Oakwood Street,
Folkston, Ga.
