Phyliss Jean Anspach Cubbedge, 80 of Hilliard passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, Florida.
She was born November 13, 1928 in Finley, Ohio to Lucy Radabaugh Anspach and Phillip Nobel Anspach. She had been a resident of Hilliard for the past nine years. Phyliss was a member of New Harvest Fellowship Church. She loved her church family and singing in the choir. She also was the head of a Sewing Class, helping to teach others the art of sewing and Crocheting. She loved bowling, football and shopping, but most of all, she loved being a mother and grandmother.
Survivors include: 3 sons: Steve Cubbedge(Linda) of Graham, Florida; Rev. Bruce Cubbedge(Angie) of Hilliard; David Cubbedge of Fernandina; 1 daughter: Cheryl Davis(Douglas) of Hilliard; Daughter-in-law: Mariette(Pixie) Cubbedge of St. Augustine; 13 Grandchildren; 15 Great-grandchildren and several other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Albert Cubbedge.
The family will receive friends, Monday, September 14, 2009 from 6 until 8 PM at Shepard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 10:00 AM at New Harvest Fellowship Church, Hilliard with Rev. Bruce Cubbedge and Rev. Don Rimer officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Hilliard.
