Perry Nelson, Sr

Perry Allen Nelson, Sr., 68, of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away at his residence September 11, 2010 following an illness. He was born in Hilliard, Florida to the late Lewis Herman Nelson and Minnie Mae Johnson Nelson. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 24 years and retired in 1984.
He is survived by his daughter: Gloria (William) Gordon; a son: Perry A. (Crystal) Nelson, Jr., a sister: Doreen Parker, a brother: Richard (Ruby) Nelson; 4-Grandchildren: Jonathan Nelson, Amber Gordon, Tyler Nelson, Madison Nelson and is expecting another grandchild.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 14 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 15 at 11:00 AM at the Shepard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Little Phebe Cemetery with full military honors.
