Pasco Sidney Bryant, 81, of Folkston, passed away at his home March 13, 2008. He was born in Princeton, FL to the late James F. Bryant and the late Bertha Amanda Johns Bryant and had been a resident of Charlton County for 80 years. He was a charter member of Trader's Hill United Methodist Church and attended Folkston United Methodist Cchurch where he was a member of the men's bible study class. He graduated from Charlton County High School and attended Waycross College. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WW II. He was a member of the VFW Post in Folkston and the American Legion Post in Folkston. He was a member of the USS Sitkoh Bay Escourt Carrier and Airmen Association. He served on the Georgia State Democratic Committee and the Charlton County Commission for 16 years where he served as Chairman for several years. He served as District Supervisor on the Satilla River Soil Conservation Board for 16 years. He was preceded in death by his brother: James I. Bryant.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Rosa Lee Harris Bryant of Folkston; 5-Children: Denise (Ken) Warnock of Swainsboro, GA, Amanda (Brian) Kinder of Rome, GA, Robert Wayne (Sherry) Morgan of Cairo, GA, Barbara (Marty) Chase of Waycross, GA and Marilyn Johnson of Folkston, GA; 8-Grandchildren and 12-Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Saturday March 15 at Shepard Funeral Home from 5-7 PM. Funeral Services will be held Sunday March 16 at 3:00 PM at the Folkston United Methodist Church with Rev. David Unkles and Rev. Eddie Rauls officiating. Burial will follow in Trader's Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.
