Nina Renshaw Dykes Dillon, 83 of St. George passed away April 13, 2015 in the Warner Center, Fernandina Beach, Florida. She was born September 20, 1931 to Walter and Roxie Edna Chesser Renshaw in St. George. She was employed as a waitress, worked with the Georgia and Florida Forestry Departments, Montgomery Ward’s, and she retired from J.C. Penny’s. She was a member of St. George First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband: Russell Dillon of St. George; five sons: Leo Dykes(Theresa); Wayne Dykes(Lisa) ; Dwight Dykes(Barbara); Kevin Dykes; Bruce Dillon; two daughters: Carol Kelly(John Wayne) Rosemary Jarrell (Terry); one sister: Flora Petty; three brothers: Art Renshaw; Donald Renshaw(Martha), Alva Renshaw (Mary Jane); Earl (Peanut) Renshaw(Sue); 19 grandchildren; 37 Great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a son: Donald (Spider) Dykes; her mother and father; a sister: Ida Mae Lentz and a brother: Erwin Renshaw.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 10AM at St. George First Baptist Church with Rev. Ray McKendree and Rev. Gary Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Boones Creek Cemetery.
