Nevada Golaszewski

Nevada J. Golaszewski, 93, of Folkston, passed away Saturday, May 1 at her residence. She was born in Alma, Georgia to the late Henry and Susie Henderson Jordan. She was raised and attended school in Blackshear, Georgia. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She served as Historian for the Folkston Lions Club. She was a former member of the Folkston Garden Club and former member of the Florida Bankers Association Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by 2-Brothers: John Berry “JB” Jordan, and Marlow “Jack” Jordan and a Sister: Pearl Jordan Riggins Bass.

She is survived by her husband: Stanley Golaszewski; a Daughter and Son-In-Law: Wanda and Randy Lane; a Sister & Brother-In-Law: Jewell and Jimmie Wells of Jacksonville, FL; a Brother and Sister-In-Law: Walstein and Vivian Jordan of Blackshear, GA; a Brother-In-Law: John Frances (Karen) Goleszewski; 3-Sisters-In-Law: Helen Yadlowski, Gladys Lorinzetti and Jean Yourkanin all of Pennsylvania.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 4 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Funeral services will follow at noon with Deacon Bill Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Cemetery in Folkston, Georgia.
