Myrtle Roddenberry

October 30, 1915 — August 9, 2011

Myrtle Murray Roddenberry, 95, of Folkston, passed away Tuesday, August 9 at Life Care Center in Hilliard, Florida. She was born in Charlton County to the late William Newton and Julia Elvania Dinkins Murray. She was a homemaker and volunteered in many local civic organizations. She was a member of the Folkston United Methodist Church where she was involved with the Keenagers and served as an Adult Sunday School Teacher.
She is survived by 6-Daughters: Theo (Donald) Phillips, Connie (Kenneth) Gay, Marsha Johnson, Yvonne (Robert) Turner, Brenda (Robert) Maifarth, and Susan (Steve) Taylor; 1 sister: Doris Ezzell; 15-Grandchildren; 27-Great Grandchildren; and 6-Great Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 12 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13 at 10:30 AM at the Folkston United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Willett officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Michael Gay, Derral Phillips, Lanier Phillips, David Phillips, Nathan Johnson, Tim Turner, Drew Taylor and Brent Taylor
