Myrtis Bennett

Myrtis Simpson Bennett of Hilliard, Florida, passed away December 31, 2017 at  Life Care Center of Hilliard. Mrs. Bennett was born on July 7, 1921 in Hilliard, where she was a housewife and  mother. She was married to the late Mr. Homer Simpson. After Mr. Simpson passed, she married Mr. John Bennett.
Mrs. Bennett had three children: Jackie Simpson, Rita Huntley and John Simpson.
Mrs. Bennett was also very active in Hilliard First Baptist Church and Buford Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter: Rita Huntley and her husband, Roger,  and a son: John Simpson and his wife, Bea; and 4 Grandchildren.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Myrtis Simpson Bennett will be conducted at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at noon. with Rev. Curtis Harrington officiating.  Burial will follow in Buford Grove Cemetery.
