Miriam Ida Boyle Kidd, 89, of Lake Worth, FL passed away at her residence February 11, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 22, 1927 to the late Harold Wallace Boyle and Marion Reed Boyle. She was a long time member of the Eastern Star. She worked at the Empire State Building and Pratt Whitney where they built jet engines. She retired from the Palm Beach Post after 25 years.
Her greatest pleasure in life was going to the beach with her family. She often said, “The beach is the greatest gift from God.”
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Emory Pyatt Kidd.
She is survived by her son: Scott Ashley Kidd; 3-Grandchildren: Austin Ryan (Jennifer Renee) Kidd, Shanna Renee Kidd, Bryce Robert (Sharena Anqunette Butler) Kidd; 9-Great Grandchildren: Kodie Lewis Kidd, Austin Ryan Kidd, JR., Wyatt Julian Kidd, Chloe Renee Kidd, Kyla Emory Kidd, Karleigh E’Lexus Lauren Westcott, Christiona Aniya Farmer, Tyler Makhi Kidd and Brayden Armani Kidd.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in St. Marys, GA with Rev. Rick Douylliez officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
