MILTON DRURY

Milton J. Drury, 74, of Folkston, GA, passed away October 26, 2013 after a battle with cancer.  He was born in Winokur, Georgia to the late William A. “Bill” Drury and Ruby Lavon Thornton Drury.  He was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church.  He retired from Gilman Paper Company.  Mr. Drury loved law enforcement.  He worked with the Homeland Police Department, Folkston Police Department and the Charlton County Sheriff’s Office for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife:  Rita Drury; his children:  Mike (Brenda) Drury, Brian Drury, Billy (Debbie) Pafford, and Tim (Diane) Conner; 4-Brothers:  Herbert Drury, Richard Drury, Reavis Drury, Steve Drury; 4-Sisters:  Macy Todd, Dorothy Roddenberry, Mildred Crews, Larene Crews; 5-Grandchildren:  Derrick Pafford, Timmy Conner, Dyanna Conner, Hannah Drury and Tyler Drury; and a number of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other Relatives.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 28 at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, Georgia beginning at 6 PM.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29 at 11:00 AM at the Folkston United Methodist Church with Rev. Ray McMillan and Rev. Jack Varnell officiating.  Burial will follow in Racepond Cemetery at Sand Hill Baptist Church with Law Enforcement Honors.

In lieu of flowers, Mr. Drury’s desire would be for donations to be made to Law Enforcement Families in Charlton County with Cancer c/o Charlton County Family Connect, 34754 Okefenokee Drive, Folkston, GA 31537.
