Milton Frederick “Fred” Coley, 78, of Folkston, GA passed away at his home, Saturday, March 1, 2025. He was born in Hazelhurst, GA to the late M.M. “Mack” Coley and Myrtice Brewer Coley. He was a Graduate of the University of Georgia. Fred worked at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base for over 30 years and owned and operated the Okefenokee Sportsman. He was a proud veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Folkston Methodist Church and Prospect Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting deer and turkey and was an avid softball player and a huge supporter of the Charlton County Quarterback Club.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years: Rollene P. Coley; his children: Stacy (Scott) Conner, Jason (Heather) Coley, Zach (Kim) Coley, Rocky Duncan, Jr., Shanna Hooker and Caurlie Hooker (Quinton Beasley); grandchildren: Rachel Conner, Grayson Conner, Jackson Coley, Hunter Coley, Mason Coley, Triston Coley, Caleb Hooker, Quincey Garner, Mikayla Garner, Cayden Duncan; great grandchildren: Cash Beasley and Presley Beasley; a brother: Keith (Debbie) Coley.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 4 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 12:30-1:45 PM. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4 at 2:00 PM at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery.
