Mildred Horne

Mildred Wynelle Jones Horne, 74 of Kingsland, Georgia passed away August 22, 2011 in S.E. Georgia Health Systems, Brunswick Campus.
She was born October 17, 1936 in La Belle, Florida to Willie and Gladys Coppage Jones. She, with her husband Joseph, owned and operated Joe’s Seafood in Kingsland. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsland, Georgia and a member of Lulaton Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children: Charlene Roberts of Kingsland; Regina Powell (Danny) of Crossville, Tennessee; Samnmy Haskew (Vickie) of Arcadia, Kansas; Gene Haskew of Yulee, Florida; Johnny Haskew (Debra) of Hahunta, Georgia; Vickie Bryant (Robert), Perry Haskew, Julie Horne and Huck Horne of Kingsland; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister: Yvonne Crow of Yulee, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph “Jody” Horne; two brothers: Bengi Jones and Douglas Jones and a sister: Diane Harris.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Lulaton Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Monroe Gill and Rev. E.C. Crews officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church Cemetery.
