Michael Edward Lord

Michael Edward Lord, 74, of St. George, GA passed away at his home Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was born February 19, 1951 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Joseph B. Lord and Evelyn Legget Lord. He was a 25 year member of the Jacksonville Painters Local Union #164. He was a member of the Folkston Masonic Lodge F&AM # 196 where he served as Worshipful Master. He was a proud member of the Sons of Confederate in Yuee, FL. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and scuba diver with over 400 open water dives. After his 57th birthday, he ran over 7 marathons, many 5, 10 and 15 K races. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Michael Joseph Lord, and 2-brothers: Joseph Lord, Jr and Johnny Lord.

He is survived by his wife and life partner of over 55 years: Patricia S. Lord; his daughter: Renee Lord Burnsed; 3-grandchildren: Christina (Lendol) Thornton, Sydney Burnsed and Peyton Burnsed; a brother: Fred Lord and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
