Michael Edward Jacobs, 53 of Folkston passed away January 23, 2012. He was born in Folkston on August 20, 1958 to Edward Dewey and Cynthia Eugenia Lee Jacobs. He served his country in the United States Army. A lifelong resident of Charlton County, he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife: Jerrie Lynn of Lakeland, Florida; One daughter: Tara Lynn Jacobs(Larry Sweatman; Two Grandchildren: Nikki Jacobs and Michael Lee Chastain; Two sisters: Phyllis Young and Carol Hensley and several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a brother Matthew Dewey Jacobs.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Shepard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery.
