Mary Dixon Prescott

Mary Blanch Dixon Prescott, 89, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025. She was born in Pierce County, Georgia on August 14, 1935, to the late Alvin Asbury Dixon and Lizzie Prescott Dixon. Mary was a member of New Home Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband: William “Bill” Prescott; bothers: Johnnie Alvin “John” Dixon, Tracy Owen “Pete” Dixon, Sr., Lester Alvin “Buck” Dixon, and an infant brother; and sisters: Virginia Dixon Martin, Emma Jane Dixon Boyette, Gloria Jean Dixon Roberson, and an infant sister.

She is survived by her daughters: Margie Winter of Cumming, Georgia and Joy (Chris) Hayes of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; grandchildren: Morgan Winter of Jacksonville, Florida, Julia Burkett-Dreggors of Geneva, Florida, Nathan (Nicole) Winter of Brasselton, Georgia, Jordan McNamara of Jacksonville, Florida, and Jenna McNamara (Trey Sides) of Jacksonville, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service was held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Oakland Cemetery.
