Mary Lou Hamilton Nelson, 68 of Jacksonville passed away Monday, April 20, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center.
She had been a resident of Jacksonville for the past 6 years. She was employed at Walmart before retiring. She was married to the late Charles B. Nelson for 49 years until his passing in 2007.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by her children: Son: Gene(Virginia) Nelson of Jacksonville; Two daughters; Sandra(Joe) Williams of Kingsland, Georgia; Karen (Henry) Keene of Elizabethton, Tn.; Two sisters: Susie Hand of Jacksonville and Margaret Luna of Waycross, Ga.; One Brother: George Hamilton of Hilliard, Fl. Ten Grandchildren, Nine Great-grandchildren and several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 6 until 8 PM at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 23, 2009 in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Elder Jerry Lightsey officiating. Burial will follow in Little Phebe Cemetery, Folkston, Georgia.
Pallbearers: Randy nelson, David Phillips, Harold Nelson, Buddy Nelson, Lewis Keene and Billy Nelson.
