Mary Ellen Blume Music, 84 of Hilliard passed away June 22, 2011 in Jacksonville, Florida.
She was born September 7, 1926 in Newington, Georgia to Daniel William and Hattie Mae Platt Blume. She retired after 21 years of employment from Anchor hocking. Mrs. Music was the owner and manager of the General Store, Kings Ferry Road. She was the founder of the Hunting Club 41 in Hilliard and the turkey shoots to benefit the Florida Sheriff’s Boys Ranch. She was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church of Hilliard.
She is survived by four daughters: Patricia(Johnny) Cook of Fernandina Beach; Gloria Carson of Middleburg; Susie Oset of Waycross, Ga.; Elizabeth Irene Music(Richard Dowdy) of Jacksonville; one son: Michael Anthony Music of Hilliard; 10 Grandchildren; Numerous Great-Grand’s and Great-great-grand’s, Several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with Rev. Denny Music officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Hilliard, Florida.
