Mary Geneva Morgan, 83, of Folkston, Ga passed away July 11 at St. Vincents Hospital, Jacksonville, Fl after a long illness.
She was born August 3, 1925 in Waycross, Ga to David Ira and Mattie (Stone) Hickox.
She married Daniel Wayne Wilson from Macomb, Il in 1944. They were the parents of 5 daughters, Gloria Trone (Eddie) of Folkston, Ga, Diane Johnson (Dale) of Marietta, Il, Susan Welch of Colchester, Il, Elizabeth Ebbert (deceased) and Barbara Rouse (deceased).
She later married John Morgan who preceded her in death.
She had 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, 5 of which preceded her in death.
She had 4 sisters, Virgie Munns of Atlanta, Ga, Betty Wooten (Simon) of Baxley, Ga, Ari Hickox (deceased), and Alma Schultz (deceased). She had 2 brothers, Vernon Hickox (deceased) and Lloyd Hickox (deceased).
She worked for the state of Georgia Dept. Of Human Resources retiring in March, 1986.
She was a member of Camp Pinckney Baptist Church in Folkston, Ga.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, Ga on Saturday, August 15 at 2:00 pm with a gathering of family and friends at the Charlton Court Community Center afterwards.
