Marvin Lee Strickland, 88, of Folkston, GA passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 at his home following a lengthy illness.  He was born November 4, 1935 in White Springs, FL to the late Walter Lee Strickland and Pauline May Strickland.  Marvin was a fun-loving person that loved a good joke. He loved to pick guitar and sing daily. He retired after 43 years with Winn Dixie achieving the position of Assistant Manager.  After his retirement, he worked for Big J in Folkston for over 7 years.   He was a member of the Folkston Church of God. Marvin was a wonderful father that was always supportive to all of his girls. He will forever be loved in our hearts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stillborn son, his granddaughter: Dallas Johnson and his brother: Carl Murphy.

He is survived by his daughters:  Wendy Gross, Dorian Nelson and Christi (Kenneth) Britt; 2-sisters:  Sarah Harrell and Viola Johnson; a brother: W.L. Veal of Douglas, GA; 8-grandchildren:   Bruce, David, Andrew, Shane, Bradley, Megan, Danielle and Crystal; 28-great-grandchildren, and 12-great-great-grandchildren.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
