Martha Crews Lee

Martha Crews Lee, 96, of Folkston, GA passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 7, 2022. She was born on January 24, 1926 in Winoker, GA to the late Ivey “Buddy Tie” Crews and Mary Jane Barber Crews. She was the County Executive Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service for 37 years. After retiring, she served as the secretary at First Baptist Church for 8 years where she was also a member.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Benjamin Hubert Lee,  3 sisters; Bessie Johns, Margaret Carter and Mary Ann Crews and 4 brothers; Reuben Crews, Thomas Crews, Wilbur Crews and Jessie Crews.

She is survived by her 3 children; Teresa (L.C.) Guinn, Debra (Greg) Wainwright and Tonya (Derrick) Roddenberry, 2 sisters; Lydia Burch and Edna Rowell, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 6pm-8pm at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11am at First Baptist Church of Folkston with Dr. Randy Jacoby officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery in Folkston.

Pallbearers will be Carl Guinn, Jason Wainwright, Ben Wainwright, Lee Wainwright, Carl Guinn, Jr. and Jessie King.
