Martha Brown

Martha S. Brown, 91, of Folkston, passed away Sunday July 13 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Chesterfield, AL to the late John and Lula Henderson Hamilton. She was a homemaker and very devoted to her family. She was a member of the Camp Pinkney Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gordon Lee Brown, her daughter: Sybil Whitley and her grandchildren: Tami Farrior and Paul Allen.

She is survived by 4-Daughters: Bertha (Paul) Barker of Folkston, Jimmie (Rodney) Hollingsworth of Rock Springs, GA, Lois (Larry) Adams of Folkston, and Elizabeth Brown; 3-Sons: Robert (Sandra) Brown, Larry Joe (Barbara) Brown and Steve (Rhonda) Brown all of Folkston; 3-Grandchildren in which she raised: Layton (Lee) Player of Mobile, FL, Larry (Gloria) Player of Waycross, GA and Tommy (Gerrie) Player of Jacksonville, AL; 26-Grandchildren, 54-Great Grandchildren and 22-Great Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday July 14 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 15 at 11:00 at the Shepard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim King officiating. Burial will be in Little Phebe Cemetery.
