Martha Blount

Martha Luvon Crews Blount, 80, passed away October 17, 2014 at Acosta-Rua Community Hospice in Jacksonville. Luvon was born in 1934 in Folkston, Georgia to Marshall and Emmie Crews.  She lived many places but spent most of her life in Jacksonville.  Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 28 years, Charlie Blount; her daughter, Janet Altman Bolton; her brother, Virgil Crews; and a sister, Grace Hendrix.
She is survived by a daughter, Debora (Mark) Bailey of Hilliard, FL and a son, Larry Altman of Jacksonville, FL; her grandchildren: Aaron (Emily) Bailey of Callahan, FL; Marshall (Tara) Bailey of Hilliard, FL; Lauren (James) Poole of Jacksonville; Linsey Altman of Jacksonville; Jordan Bailey of Yulee; BradLee Robertson of Shreveport, Louisiana; Tiffany Altman of Jacksonville; Tracie Altman of Jacksonville, great-grandchildren: Clay Bailey, Kinley Bailey, Jude Bailey, Eli Poole, Tate Bailey and Benjamin Poole; brother, Vernon Crews of Folkston; her sisters, Joyce (J.R.) Jones of St. Marys, GA and Sara (Jim) Milburn of Cocoa, FL.
Funeral services will be held at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA on October 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Hall officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery, Folkston, GA.
