Marie Mizell

Marie J. Mizell, 89, of Folkston, GA passed away July 20, 2014.  She was born September 6, 1924 to the late Lonnie Jernigan and Gladys Vann Jernigan.  She retired from the Charlton County Board of Education.  She was a member of Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Harold Mizell; 2-Daughters:  Hilda Musgrove and Caroline Mizell and a grandson:  Doug Musgrove.
She is survived by her children:  Donald Mizell, Buddy Mizell, Betty Woolard and Connie Mizell; Grandchildren:  Joe Musgrove, Shea Talley, Clint Mizell, Hamp Mizell, Amber Popham, Melissa Cook and Kristen Mizell; 15-Great Grandchildren; 8-Great Great Grandchildren; 2 special daughters-in-law:  Debra Mizell and Marilyn Johnson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday July 22 from 6-8 Pm at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston, GA.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23 at 2:00 PM at Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Parnell Aldridge and Rev. Keith Lloyd officiating.  Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ryan Musgrove, Aaron Musgrove, Blake Warren, Cody Warren, LJ Talley, Clint Mizell, Hamp Mizell, Dalton Mizell and Layton Mizell.
