Marguerite Raynor

Marguerite Shivar Raynor, 83, passed away February 21, in Jacksonville, FL following a lengthy illness. She was born in Folkston, Georgia to the late Edward Shivar and Elizabeth Huling Shivar. She graduated from Charlton County High School. Along with her husband, Jimmy, she managed the Suwanee Food Store. She was a member of the Homeland City Council for a number of years. She was a member of Grace Chapel Baptist Church where she served as Secretary and Treasurer. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Hollie “Jimmy” Raynor.

She is survived by her daughters: Judy (Jerald) Lee of Jacksonville, FL and Bonnie (Wallace) Galloway of Albany, GA; a son: Gene (Carolyn) Creel of Plant City, FL; 5-Grandchildren and 10-Great Grandchildren; a several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 22, 2010 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Grace Chapel Baptist Church at 3:00 PM with Dr. Norman Sweeting officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery.
