Margaret Lerline Luna

Margaret Lerline Hamilton Luna, 81, of Waycross, Georgia passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024. She was born in Little River, Alabama on February 15, 1943, to the late Harvey L. and Carrie Hamilton. Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a green thumb and loved working with flowers.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother: Harvey Eugene “Gene” Hamilton; 2-sisters: Mary Lou Nelson and Annie Mae “Susie” Hand; and son-in-law: Charles King.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years: Jose Gilberto Luna; 5-children: Homer “Harold” Nelson, Jr., Harvey “Buddy” Nelson (Darlene), Linda Nelson Orr (Bobby), Tammy King, and Carmen Luna; brother: George “Tudy” Hamilton (Sharon); 9-grandchildren: Geneva, Daniel, Crystal, Brandy, Marqita, Tiffany, Patricia, Charles, and Marissa; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives that loved and adored her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. Memorialization will be by cremation.
